We fetch your calendars every 10 minutes. Airbnb reads yours about every 3 hours, Booking.com about every 2. If bookings ever overlap, you see it in your dashboard.
The paperwork comes with it
Invoices, receipts and credit notes in your name, with VAT where it applies. For home stays (heimagisting) we keep count against the 90-night and 2 million króna limits.

Questions
Do I need Teya or Straumur?
To take card payments, yes: you connect your own online-payments agreement. Without one, your page can still take booking requests.
Who holds the money?
No one but you. Guests pay straight into your agreement with your acquirer, and Gestur never touches the payment.
Can I stay on Airbnb and Booking.com?
Yes. Gestur works alongside them: calendars sync both ways, so you can take direct bookings at the same time.
Do guests need an account?
No. Guests pick dates, enter their name and email, and pay. They get a link to view or cancel their booking.
Can I review each booking before it's confirmed?
Yes. You choose whether guests book instantly or send a request you accept or decline, and you can switch at any time.
Does it work for heimagisting?
Yes. You add your registration number, and we keep count of the year's nights and income against the home-stay limits.
What if the same night gets booked twice?
We flag it in your dashboard as soon as we see it, so you can sort it out before the guest arrives.
